Andy Warhol Campbell Soup Cans

Why is Andy Warhol’s “Campbell’s Soup Cans” painting famous?
The Campbell’s Soup work is actually a screen print. It’s a good example of Warhol’s “pop art”- artwork that takes an everyday, mundane item and elevates it to the level of art. One of the things Warhol did with his pop art was to make the point that the everyday could become art.
